Interesting & thanks for the links. Being rather skeptical of all things USG, wonder if there will be more mention of OBL in the media now .....to divert attention from the "memo".....and calls for investigation.
It DOES seem that it might have been a lot "wiser" to stay focussed on this "war" on terrorism, utilize all known strategies to capture the "terrorists" and aim to deter terrorism.......than to divert attention into a war that was not even related to the issue, and therefore creating more anger at the US...which in turn is a potential for more terrorism.
It just might have been a tad arrogant to assume "they" could handle both with efficiency /finesse and accomplish both objectives with some reasonable success.
But then Military WARS /invasions are not the solution /deterent to terrorism either. The create a combative response, more rage and potentially foster more terrorism. (IMO)
.......Spain had it's tragic 3-11, and handled it more effectively. It did not go off half cocked invading nations "to make a point" to put on a "show of strength" but went about it quietly, strategically, without sensationalizing the terrorists , and have been making productive arrests along the way. It would be safe to say that 3-11 was a bi product of the bush invasion in Iraq. .....one of the many far reaching consequences that skillfully ,deceptively are not being addressed by the USG.
