Report: U.S. Conducting Secret Missions Inside Iran

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States has been conducting secret reconnaissance missions inside Iran to help identify potential nuclear, chemical and missile targets, The New Yorker magazine reported Sunday.

The article, by award-winning reporter Seymour Hersh, said the secret missions have been going on at least since last summer with the goal of identifying target information for three dozen or more suspected sites.

Bush would very much like a new war, but he cannot afford it. Any attack on Iran is going to cause even more problems in the Middle East and will anger China and Russia as well.

I hope Bush isn't that stupid, but he likely is.

I don't think we'll see another Iraq type war in Iran any time soon. The Rev is right, US forces are spread too thin...for now. Might see a Serbia type war though, with air strikes on specific targets.

Of course, that could lead to Iran attacking US forces in Iraq, so maybe all out war after all.
