Careful what you say, Bushanti...I've been banned from George Bush's Amerika for making violent fun of Bush on the internet. Now I have to get people to bring me Marlboros.

You can mail anything as long as you don't say what it is. A friend once mailed me joint from Hawaii...Maui Wowie right from the source back when dope still had names and hadn't gone metric. My friend in Seattle sometimes sends cigarettes (single packs) in the mail.

I have no idea what the laws are though. I'm pretty sure that the joint from Hawaii wasn't strictly legal though.

Always red packs, Research...I'm a nicotine junkie. I don't worry about packaging at all...I carry my smokes in a metal case so they don't get broken. Whatever is convenient is fine.

Let me know the price and where to send a cheque and I'll give you my mailing address.

I should likely expand on the joint thing...that was back in the eighties when I still did that sort of thing. We also had no fear of getting caught. The arrogance of youth has its advantages.

How quickly we forget...when Vietnam rolled around, where was William Jefferson Clinton? England.

The fact of the matter is that George W. Bush was, according to his CO, an excellent pilot in the Air National Guard for five-and-a-half years. The possiblilty is not that he didn't show up for service at all, but that he missed, at most, a few months of 5 1/2 years. At worst, he's a good sight better than Clinton -- and I really don't think you want to bring up what certain other Democrats were doing 30 years ago.

Clinton did what a lot of people did...avoided service in an unpopular war that was likely illegal and was certainly immoral. George Bush was in the National Guard for exactly the same reason, to avoid going to Vietnam. He couldn't even manage that little bit of work though...he forgot to show up.

Clinton isn't running this time though. I know a lot of Republicans are having a problem with that, but it's true. Clinton served his two terms as president and now, like it or not, has retired from the life of a professional politician.

John Kerry is running. He's a decorated war hero who served in Vietnam then, when he got home, publicly and vocally opposed the war because he had seen what a mess it first hand. His parents were wealthy enough to send him to school in England. They were well-connected enough that they likely could have scored him a gig alongside George in the National Guard. Hell, he could have come to Canada. He didn't do any of those things though.

If you want to play duelling military credentials, then you have to play against that record.

Did you happen to watch Kerry's speech? It was a homerun with twelve men on base.

I missed most of it, but I saw his wife's speech. No matter who wins the next election, somebody should get her up and speaking more often,
