It has begun.

Thousands of refugees living in the so-called Calais 'Jungle' will soon lose their makeshift homes as the northern half of the camp is set to be demolished.

Calais mayor Natacha Bouchart told journalists on Monday that the remaining half of the camp would soon be dismantled, though no date has yet been given.

"We can't wait any longer, we need to know as soon as possible when and how the Jungle will be torn down," she said.

"It is absolutely urgent for this town, its people and its businesses."

According to Reuters, the Calais prefecture, which would issue the order to demolish the camp, declined to comment on the matter yesterday.

Good. The reason why they're all there is to get over to Britain.

...and now this will just expedite it.. just in case you haven't forgotten, you may have voted for a BREXIT, but your still part of the EU for another year and have to abide to signed agreements..

Is Muhammad the most popular boy's name in Britain?

It'll probably be about two years from now that Brexit occurs.

Also, what agreements has Britain signed which says that she has to accept thousands of non-EU migrants from the Middle East who, with the aid of some EU countries, most notably France, have broken the rule which states that they must settle in the first safe country they get to?

By law, these migrants should have stayed in the first safe country they reached. Yet they have had to go through several safe countries in order to get to Calais - which is the French/British border - to try and get into Britain, all the way from eastern to western Europe.

But now that they are in France, why can't they stay there? The last time I looked France is a wealthy, relatively safe country.

No, it's true.
Which is true? That France is a prosperous and safe country, or that it's an economic basket case overrun by terrorists?

You can't have it both ways. Or rather, you can, but only at the cost of showing the world you're an arm-waving hysteric and a bloody idiot.

It's an economic basketcase with its main cities overrun by Islamists, so you'd think all the Islamists at Calais trying to get into Britain would fit fine-and-dandily into French society.

OK, so your law of "first safe country" don't apply. I think the French navy should embark 'em all and drop 'em off in Brighton and Cornwall.

Problem solved, and it'd show as much concern for Briddin as Briddin has shown for Europe.

The Royal Navy would just blow those French ships out of the water.

The french heavy duty interest in libya continues, they led the nato charge that got gaddafi slaughtered and still they linger. In doing so nato opened the refugee flood gates that gaddafi had kept a lid on, they never learn.
That france has become a target for terrorism is odd, sarkozy getting rid of gaddafi let isil get a foot in libyas' door so one would think they should be happy with paris yet attacks persist. Perhaps the refugees trapped in places like calais have a bone to pick with paris, in either case gaddafis' demise failed to improve french fortunes.... nuther good move.
