Furious Labour MP confronts Red Ken and brands him a 'f****** disgrace' and 'Nazi apologist' over his claim Hitler backed moving Jews to Israel 'before he went mad and ended up killing six million'

Labour MP John Mann today confronted Ken Livingstone at TV studios in Westminster, pictured, as the angry row over anti-Semitism in Labour escalated further. Mr Mann said Livingstone, the left-wing London Mayor from 2000 to 2008, was an 'anti-Semite' after Mr Livingstone enraged Labour MPs with a defence of Naz Shah that included a claim Hitler backed moving Jews to Israel 'before he went mad and ended up killing six million' of them. The angry clash at Millbank - yards from Parliament - saw Mr Mann brand Mr Livingstone as a 'f****** disgrace' and came as more than 10 Labour MPs demanded swift action from Jeremy Corbyn to suspend Mr Livingstone. Mr Mann said Mr Livingstone was a 'Nazi apologist' who was 're-writing history'. The angry row was carried out in front of journalists, including Michael Crick, who tweeted the main image, left. The anti-Semitism row has rocked Labour after Mr Corbyn finally agreed to suspend Bradford West MP Ms Shah yesterday over Facebook posts which suggested relocating Israel to the United States.

"The Transfer Agreement: The Dramatic Story of the Pact Between the Third Reich and Jewish Palestine is a book written by author Edwin Black, documenting the transfer agreement ("Haavara Agreement" in Hebrew) between Zionist organizations and Nazi Germany to transfer a number of Jews and their assets to Palestine. This agreement was partly inspired by a global boycott of Germany that had appeared to threaten the Reich.[1] Controversial as it may be seen in hindsight, it marked one of the few rescue of Jews and their assets during the Holocaust"

I was wondering what rock Soros had crawled our from under. Next time it should be a heavier rock that is used.

He is an extremely powerful, dangerous and evil man who parades himself as a philanthropist and all around good guy. He is heavily involved in the environmental movement that wants to destroy our way of life today, even though he's benefitted from it immensely. But I guess he is so wealthy that he doesn't care anymore. Politicians are enamoured of him as are some of the Hollywood types - they all better watch what they wish for because he doesn't much give a damn about us or them.

Labour will get a grip on anti-Semitism, says Tom Watson

BBC News

Former London Mayor Ken Livingstone speaks to the media as he leaves his home

Labour deputy leader Tom Watson has said the party will "get a grip" on anti-Semitism following the suspension of Ken Livingstone on Thursday.

Labour was considering changes to its rules to send "a clear signal" of its "zero tolerance" towards anti-Semitism.

Mr Livingstone was suspended after claiming Hitler supported Zionism "before he went mad".

Labour has been beset in recent weeks by growing claims of anti-Semitism within its ranks.

Shadow Home Secretary Andy Burnham said allegations must be dealt with "much more speedily in the future".

Anti-Semitism and Zionism

Anti-Semitism is "hostility and prejudice directed against Jewish people" (OED).

Zionism refers to the movement to create a Jewish state in the Middle East, corresponding to the historic land of Israel - anti-Zionism opposes that.

Some say "Zionist" can be used as a coded attack on Jews, while others say the Israeli government and its supporters are deliberately confusing anti-Zionism with anti-Semitism to avoid criticism.

What's the difference between anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism?

He told BBC One's Question Time on Thursday that he did not think the party was anti-Semitic but added: "These allegations, when they are surfacing, have not been dealt with properly and quickly enough."

But Mr Watson told BBC Radio 4's Today programme that party leader Jeremy Corbyn did "act swiftly" to suspend his ally of 40 years, Mr Livingstone.

He said Mr Livingstone's comments were "vile" adding: "To link Hitler and Zionism in the way he did must have been designed to create offence." But he said it was for Labour's ruling national executive committee to decide whether to expel him from the party.

In the meantime Mr Watson said he and Mr Corbyn had been looking at whether "Labour's own structures" needed changing "to make sure that we send a very clear signal to people in our party that we will have a zero tolerance approach to anti-Semitism".

"Do we need to change our rules to explicitly rule out racism and specifically include anti-Semitism in that?" he said.

Labour deputy leader Tom Watson says the party may need new rules to counter anti-Semitism

"We are going to deal with this."

Meanwhile BBC Wales understands that Mr Corbyn has been asked not to join Labour campaigning in Wales ahead of the assembly elections following the anti-Semitism row.

The row exploded on Thursday after a radio interview that Mr Livingstone did with BBC Radio London, defending Naz Shah, the party's MP for Bradford West, who had been suspended on Wednesday over comments on Facebook.

Speaking on BBC Radio London, Ken Livingstone said Naz Shah's comments were not anti-Semitic In it he said: "When Hitler won his election in 1932 his policy then was that Jews should be moved to Israel. He was supporting Zionism before he went mad and ended up killing six million Jews."

He was later confronted outside the BBC's studios by Labour MP John Mann, who accused him of being a "Nazi apologist" in front of TV cameras. Other Labour MPs condemned Mr Livingstone's comments.

He was later suspended by Mr Corbyn, who said there had been "grave concerns" about the language used.

Labour peer Lord Sugar said Mr Livingstone had "lost the plot" and was "obsessed with Hitler, concentration camps and Jews".

"They will wait for it to blow over a little bit and they will find some way of him coming back in, slipping back into the Labour fold," he told BBC Radio 5 Live.

'Ridiculous'

Bradford West MP Naz Shah

But Jon Lansman, chairman of Momentum, a grassroots network of Corbyn supporters, said that while Mr Livingstone's comments were "very ill-judged, wrong and offensive" to "call Ken a Nazi apologist is ridiculous".

He said: "Just as the Tories have an interest in stoking up the flames of whatever crisis is here... largely a crisis of perception... so do some people in the Labour Party and I'm afraid John Mann is one of them. John Mann is no supporter of Jeremy Corbyn."

On Wednesday Ms Shah was suspended, pending an investigation, over comments she made on Facebook before she became an MP, including a suggestion that Israel should be moved to the United States.

She has apologised but it has prompted claims from senior Labour figures that the party was not doing enough to tackle growing anti-Semitism in its ranks.

Mr Corbyn has denied the party is in crisis, saying: "It's not a crisis. There's no crisis. Where there is any racism in the party it will be dealt with, it will be rooted out."

He said it was "simply wrong" to suggest Labour was not cracking down on anti-Semitism. "We have suspended where appropriate, we have investigated all cases. We will not tolerate anti-Semitism in any form whatsoever in the party."

I know what this anti-Semitism row within the Labour Party means. It means that Labour Islamist Sadiq Khan is no longer the favourite to be elected the new London Mayor on Thursday as he has been for a long time. The Conservative candidate Zac Goldsmith now looks like he will win the race to be mayor of the world's greatest city.

Labour are also looking like they are going to do badly in the other elections which are also taking place on Thursday - Scottish Parliament, Welsh Assembly, Northern Irish Assembly, London Assembly, English local councils, police and crime commissioners. There is talk that Ukip may do well in the Welsh Assembly elections at Labour's expense, and the Conservatives and Ukip may do well in the English local council elections.

Seven elections around the country in one day. Plenty to look forward to.

Lyn ton Crosby – the Wizard or Lizard of Oz depending on your druthers – seems to have hit an all-time low.

Crosby was behind the recent (failed) election campaign supporting Boris Johnston in London, England.

Crosby was also behind Stephen Harper’s dismal failure of a campaign in Canada.

He’s also been behind a number of other campaigns across the globe.

The common theme: how to hate your neighbour.

Given his track record of stirring up loathing of certain racial or ethnic groups, particularly Muslims, expect him to show up soon on the campaign with Donald Trump, manipulating every nuance he can to spread his lovely message of hate.

The result from his last few efforts?

Conservative election strategist Lynton Crosby has been knighted for his service to politics

It comes as Zac Goldsmith’s Conservative campaign for mayor of London – run by Mr Crosby’s communications firm CTF Comms – faces intense criticism for its negative campaigning and attempt to link Muslim rival Sadiq Khan's to Islamist extremists.

After receiving his knighthood from Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace, the Australian strategist refused to comment on whether Mr Goldsmith’s campaign had been too negative.

Labour MP David Lammy posted on his Twitter account: “Hours after polls close in the ugliest and most divisive campaign I can remember, Lynton Crosby receives knighthood for ‘political service’”.

What failed campaign was that?
