Iceland, the land of freedom and true democracy, grows booming economy after jailing bankster criminals

After Iceland suffered a heavy hit in the 2008-2009 financial crisis, which famously resulted in convictions and jail terms for a number of top banking executives, the IMF now says the country has managed to achieve economic recovery—"without compromising its welfare model," which includes universal healthcare and education. In fact, Iceland is on track to become the first European country that suffered in the financial meltdown to "surpass its pre-crisis peak of economic output"—essentially proving to the U.S. that bailing out "too big to fail" banks wasn't the way to go.

They couldn't bail out their banks so the IMF did it for them.

The great point was the skuzz bucket bankers and fat cats at the top of the
food chain were put in prison where they belong.
We need to clean up the financial institutions in the corporate sector.
Remember they call it the private sector and splash money around like its
going out of style. We pay at the cash register for their excess.
Time to establish earning limits in accordance with highest paid and lowest paid
and no more fat cat bonuses especially if the company fails.
It used to be we have people with ethics who could limit themselves and that is no
longer the case

As i remember it, they refused to pay back the usurious loans of the IMF and international creditors. That's a lesson for Greece. Ditch the Euro.. and give the shaft to the criminal monetarist finacial cartel led by the IMF.

As for jailing bankers.. its a necessary step to rebuilding a real productive economy. When America sends the heads of these Wall Street Investment Banks.. the one's that are too big too fail.. to the Supermax in Florence Colorado as the economic terrorists that they are...it'll be one positive step in recovery.

Before the crash of 2008 the SNP, in their subsequently failed quest for Scottish independence, liked to peddle their mythical "Arc of Prosperity", which included "wealthy and booming" countries like the Republic of Ireland and Iceland which the SNP wanted an independent Scotland to join.

But then, suddenly, Ireland and Iceland collapsed, and the SNP's "Arc of Prosperity" didn't look so attractive after all.
