The neo-nazi group Golden Dawn is getting destroyed, I love it.

And Greece will be destroyed once that Far-Left party is elected. Those silly Greeks are voting for a party who wants to massively increase Greek public spending, yet it was excessive Greek public spending which crippled Greece's economy in the first place. The election of Syriza could finally bring the eurozone to its knees. The Left just never learn.

LOL Greece was already destroyed, this is the right step on the way of fixing the country.

You would vote Golden Dawn if you were Greek.

Yeah? Well we'll see about that. I bet you were one of those who jumped up and down in glee when the Socialists were elected in France, thinking they were the answer to all of France's woes, and we know what ended up happening there.

Just face it: The Greeks are voting for a party which wants to massively increase public spending even though it was huge, unaffordable splurges in public spending which crippled the Greek economy and others in Europe. And I've got feelings that this will have dire consequences for Greece and the EU, especially the eurozone.

When it comes to running an economy, the Left are as incapable as Stephen Hawking is at doing the triple jump. This far-Left party are going to once more bring the already-weak Greek economy to its knees again.

You would vote Golden Dawn if you were Greek.

Remember, it's the Left and their damaging economic and social policies which breeds the Far-Right.

No imbecile, those "silly" Greeks voted anti-austerity because one third of the population has dipped below the poverty line. Because the big bad economies of Europe (Germany, France and the UK) milk the other countries with every drop they can muster.

BTW, having the Parthenon Marbles in the "British" Museum doesn't make you any more cultured, give them back thieves.

This is, of course, a disaster.

The neo-Nazis getting properly spanked is the only good thing.

Greece is already a shinning example of the massive failure of socialsm. But, the Greeks can't pull themselves off the teat, so have decided to commit economic suicide by opting for more of the same.

The only other good thing about this is that it may damage the EU enough that the Brits may elect UKIP and pull the plug on their membership......

No imbecile, those "silly" Greeks voted anti-austerity because one third of the population has dipped below the poverty line.

They voted against austerity because - like Southern Europeans in general - they are a greedy but lazy and workshy people who never pay their taxes on time and who want everything for nothing, even when the country cannot afford it and it puts them in great debt, which has led to the wealthy, mainly Northern European countries whose people work hard for a living and pay their taxes on times - like Germany and Britain - having to bail them out. And when we finally get them on a sensible and MUCH NEEDED programme of anti-austerity to reduce their huge debt and try and get their economy back on track, the Greeks then go out and vote for a Far-Left, anti-austerity party which just wants to go out and spend even more money that Greece hasn't got and give the Greeks lots of unaffordable freebies, like free electricity, which will only put their country FURTHER into debt and further into crisis, which could end up pushing Greece out of the Eurozone, once Greece has inflicted great damage on it.

Because the big bad economies of Europe (Germany, France and the UK) milk the other countries with every drop they can muster.
Yeah? Have you got any proof of that? The Greeks, like others in Southern Europe, have skinted themselves through widespread profligacy and tax evasion, leading to countries like Germany and Britain having to give them billions of euros to bail them out. And what thanks do we get? All we get is the Greeks voting for an economically incompetent Left-wing party that will push the country further into the debt. Greece needs austerity to get it out of the mire, just like what the British have been doing with their austerity measures.

If you're in huge debt on your credit card, do you go out and keep spending on it and pushing yourself further into debt, or do you take the necessary measures to reduce it? Commonsense says you go for the latter yet, by voting for this Left-wing party, the Greeks are going for the former.

BTW, having the Parthenon Marbles in the "British" Museum doesn't make you any more cultured, give them back thieves.
Only if thieving Canada and every other thieving country in the world empty all their museums of all foreign treasures and artworks and send them back to their countries of origin. I wonder how many ancient Greek, ancient Egyptian etc artefacts are currently residing in Canadian museums.

For the most part, Blackie is not wrong about Greece... In effect, Syriza is proposing to go back to the dysfunctional system that landed them in the mess that resulted in the country being bankrupt. Further, the funds that they need originate from foreign nations and they will have a big say on whether they are prepared to keep donating.

Exactly how much sense does this make to you?

One of the first things the party is going to ask for is Europe to write off part of Greece's debt to the EU.

What a disaster.

Let them default.

Europe bails them out and now the new socialist party wants their debt partially erased.

EL OH EL

It is time for the EU to let a nation like Greece default to set an example.

These policies do not work.

Troubled times are ahead for a lot of folks and a lot of economies. As the economy
shrinks and times get tough the left will win a lot more elections as well down the
road. I am concerned about a far left democratic government though as they tend
to be dogmatic same as a social conservative party winning. Moderate left or right
don't mean much as they tend to figure out how international economies of scale
work. Not so far left or far right they seem to think they are the only ones on the
planet. Thatcher in Britain created a lot of problems that had to be dealt with later
In my view Reagan did a lot of cowboy right stuff as well that has created infrastructure
structure problems today. Greece and its government are in for a shock
