Sirens sounded across Israel including in Jerusalem and various cities in the Center on Tuesday night. Residents reported hearing blasts heard in the capital and in Tel Aviv.

Two loud thuds were heard by residents in downtown Jerusalem shortly after a rocket siren went off in the capital at approximately 10 p.m. Thousands of city residents promptly entered bomb shelters, while others remained outside and in area cafes.

According to police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld none of the rockets fired from Gaza landed directly in the city of Jerusalem, although two rockets likely landed just outside the city.

Dunno.... The "rocket" I saw on the TV news looked a lot like fireworks. Who can believe any of the Muddled East drama?
At least four Canadian MPs and possibly some senators appear to have been forced to huddle in a bomb shelter in Jerusalem Tuesday after Israeli Defence Forces sounded the alarm because of fears Hamas terrorists would send rockets into the capital.

B.C. Conservative Bob Zimmer, B.C. New Democrat Jasbir Sandhu, Manitoba Conservative Ted Falk and Newfoundland and Labrador Liberal Yvonne Jones were in Israel as guests of the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA). It wasn't immediately clear which Canadian senators were on the trip.

Boy what an exciting free trip to war crime central. I bet they'll have some interesting stories and ideas when they get back. I wonder if they haven't got some kind of bug while they were there.
