Just something to consider: being anti or against the actions of another is counter productive in that it does not bring solutions or alternatives to the table, but instead causes the other to dig in their heals and become more rigid in their stance.

The world economy is collapsing and the old guard and empires are crumbling. It is time to focus on building something positive, free of the tyranny of the old systems. Gather people of like mind and share your vision of the future, co-create that future as a community and stop wasting energy throwing stones at a dieing dinosaur. Be part of the birthing of a new way of being on this planet, because if you focus on the dieing dinosaur, you may very well get caught up in its death throws.

Not sure what your "lecture" has to do with the US plans for a permanent military presence in Australia. No one is casting any stones at anyone........just indicating a new plan that is in the works. One "assumes" that this plan is in cooperation with the Auzzies . And if so....... then it is as good as a done deal.

Which dinasaur is actually dying ?? or are they just changing their spots?? It is a no brainer to claim that the world is undergoing some rather thunderous changes and crisis. But that is another topic .

IF the dying dino you are referring to is the US aka Empire......it has already got many places caught in its death throws. and taking them with it. It cannot be otherwise as the world is so connected now , a burp in one place reverberates in other distant places.

that is a tad presumptive at best.Condescending at the very least . And not relavent to the Aussies hosting US permanant bases on their territory.

One might wonder what the motive for this is. Any ideas??

If you spent less time doing exactly what Cliffy said, and more time actually educating yourself. You would know there has been a permanent US military presence in Australia since the 40's.

If you were at least remotely capable of doing a minimal amount of research. Instead of take what your preferred propaganda websites tout as fact, at face value.

You would have come across this factoid...

The biggest economical mistake the West ever made was getting into bed with China. We are now reaping the benefits of that idiotic move. As for the meltdown in the EU. Perhaps if every Country in the EU subscribed to the same fiscal believe their common economy would not be getting dragged down by Countries like Greece, who by the way are the equivalent of a 14 year girl with a Platinum American Express.

Watching Obama doing the "friendship" dance with the Australian leader.

Now China is dissed off. Even tho Obama lies about it not being at least in part about China and its rising influence.

He forgets , who holds most of the chips (loans ).

It is astonishing to hear some of the spin that leaders come up with to justify their actions/ decisions.

What is very concerning is what state the world and empire will be at by the time folks wake up to the fact that they have been seriously lied to, have had a lot of their freedoms surrendered voluntarily on the grounds of national security with terrorism being the excuse.....while the rogue nation's tentacles spread overtly and coverly world wide.

Some will render the comment: Better the US than someone else./ And this is where the delusion is in full force. They have not seen what the empire is fully capable of as the media presents a desired image , with selective news items.....focussing on the sexual activities of hi profile adults .... as opposed to relaying the facts of all the horror going on ...and the empire being smack in the middle of it.

Heck......there are things and words you cannot say in the US anymore. As you will be branded a terrorist or some other category that will put you on the master watch list.

That is NOT a free nation anymore. Yet folks fail to see the transition into something other than what is advertized .....because a ) it is taking place on a parrallel level to other activities . Folks are dumbed down. , Folks are stressed out to the max and can't afford the basics , let alone have job secuirity. All this makes for an environment that is combustable......at which point they bring out the national guard to keep control.......\

This pattern has happened and repeated in history......with different details , but with the same dynamic. So unless there is a major shift in the current path.......the future -immediate and distant are at high risk.

When the priority is domination and that is where the major funds go ( as in the defense systems and military complex), and the national debt is obscene to say the least.....the economy in tatters.....something is way off centre ....and that has to be obvious to the most unenlightened.

The warfare side of the equation is imperialistic to the point of crippling stupidity. Not only do we already have as many as 900 military bases, and military personnel in an estimated 130 different countries, and not only did we just establish a drone base in Ethiopia and commit troops to Uganda, but President Obama has just announced a new base for 2,500 U.S. Marines in Darwin, Australia.

The Chinese are angry about it, and that’s a bad thing; the Chinese government owns more than $1 trillion of our overblown debt.

Mabye its a way for America to keep their soliders working and earning wages... Last i checked when all those troops pull out of afghanistan and go home their wont be many jobs for them...

IF slaughtering people and destroying nations is the only way to keep these soldiers "employed".......it is a sorry state of the nation indeed.

Might be smart for the empire to re evaluate where it puts its focus and priorities. Warmongering, metastatic wars and the war industry should not be the first priority. The HUMAN BEING should be. The quality of a human beings LIFE is imperative as only then can he be a truly productive member of society and a nation.

these multiple wars have demoralized not only the population of the empire , but the rest of the planet was well.
