So, I will ask again..... how many innocent deaths is YOUR "freedom" worth? For me..... I would rather live my life in solitary confinement than have even the death of one innocent child required for my "freedom".
What about all those who were saved from by soldiers that were women / children as they were about to get slaughtered by machine guns and did not get killed but only got taken as prisoners of war ?
Well would you prefer to live under the Taliban or an Islamic State ruled by Imans - Afghanistan - Iran - Would you prefer that Hitler had won - What would you prefer? Or North Korea -
Time to anwer up eh -
At least as many as have died so far, probably a few more if I plan to live longer.
It's not that I 'require' them to die, but that stuff is what has happened, and our society is what has resulted, so if that was necessary to get where we are today, then that's what it is.
Innocent people die sometimes. That's life.
If you think that somehow we are killing innocents by living in our society, then you will have to leave our society to appease your conscience.
Anyone who has lived with a large family, or in a University residence, or worked in a reasonably large company, can see why human beings in general will never have 'peace'. It's not something humans are capable of.
Are the innocents deliberate targets by the US, Canadian, Brits that are fighting in Afghanistan?
Bull****, humanity has already "proven" that we are capable of whatever we want. Defeatism though, gaurantees that we won't achieve what we can.
Your question is like asking if you've stopped beating your wife.
No it's not..... I've answered it, and tenpenny has answered it. The only reason you and others won't is because you are unwilling to accept or acknowledge what your "freedom" costs.

It's not olny the death or sacrifice of those that have "Volunteered" but also the death of countless innocents.
It's obvious I am of an oppositer mindset from the rest of you. Those that have died for "king and country" have done so willingly, the innocents that have been killed in the crossfire, or, in some instances killed on purpose, did not do so willingly. They are the ones I mourn, the ones the rest of you conveniently ignore.
Remembrance day is a hollow "celebration". One that has no true meaning. It does nothing to prevent the horrors.
Freedom costs. I don't think that is in dispute. Howver, you are falsely assuming there is no cost associated with not being free.
I am doing nothing of the sort. I have already stated that I would rather spend the rest of my life in solitary than have the death of innocent being the payment for my freedom. I'll expand on that, I would rather forfieght my own life than have the payment for my life or freedom being the life of another. I am not so arrogant or selfish to feel that my own life or freedom is worth anothers life.
You didn't mention the Germans or the French...
(...or the Italians or the Spanish in the UN that're over there too, I guess...)
