Why do we people engage in such an act? Have you ever committed such an act?:-|

Of course it is..! and yes im a sinner just like everyone else

Why do we people engage in such an act?
because its human ...its called
licentiousness
1. Lacking moral discipline or ignoring legal restraint, especially in sexual conduct.
2. Having no regard for accepted rules or standards.

One of the reasons also, would be that in many marriages sex was great the first year and then the grass seemed greener on the other side. Finding the real truth after we jump to the greener side a 5 minute encounter can come back and attack with guilty thoughts that will never go away, for some people of course, others gilt means nothing to them where taking care of the void in their marrage is more inmportant than guilt…….

I would like to interject here.

A thought does not an act make.

Can the judges of sin see the difference?
But thoughts are deeds, eh1eh! I feel the ultimate judge is myself! If I have compassion and understanding for myself and can forgive myself, then I should also forgive others for whatever sin they committed.

So you think a thought is a sin?

That explains why I have not participated in organized religion.

Without the freedom to think people are only pawns.

I choose free thought and my own morality. I choose to be a good person in spite of my thoughts. That makes me stronger than all the religions combined as I have the will to do these things without being thought controlled into them.

Ah, sweet freedom.

It is truly impossible to look at a beautiful woman/man and NOT think carnally about them....

Here's a simple example of how you could have an adulterous thought even if you did not want one...

It's nearly impossible to fight millions of years of evolution. If we weren't like that we probably wouldn't be here but if we didn't try and not be like that we probably wouldn't be here. Life is a fine balancing act and humans have more instincts then they know.

Have you ever committed such an act?:-|

The thought or the act?

Thoughts only become sins when you stop handling them with maturity and honesty, and let them shame you.

I have all sorts of carnal thoughts, fantasies, impulses. They're not sinful, they're natural, part of being a hormonal, sexual, breeding creature. When they become sins is when I tuck them away into a corner of my mind and label them as shameful, and pretend they aren't there. The instant you're having to lie (especially to yourself) about a thought being within your mind, it becomes a problematic thought.

Is that an adulterous thought or a sin that your having ....????
like i said it is impossible to look upon beauty and not think THINGS even though the woman depicted is not in a state of undress, you think lustfully about her because your mind exaggerates the possibility's of what could or may happen ,women read romance books the same way men read porn books a woman's mind needs to be stimulated by her own thoughts, a man by his dick, that's why you must stimulate a woman thoughts about sex and make them think erotically about having it before you can get anywhere ,they are more excited by the thought then the deed un like men who just need a willing partner ...LOL

A dream is a thought, if it's accompanied by nocturnal emisions this constitutes consumation of a carnal act ,it is a sin of the gravest nature. I read that somewhere, I have no firsthand knowledge of this type of sin though, honest.

You can't control what you think, or feel, but the action you take as a result of that thought or feeling you can, and when you cave in to those thoughts and feelings, you lower
your 'demand' for respect from those who love you, and whatever the consequences are,
that are negative for you, you made your bed, and now you have to lie in it.

My husband and I have 'never' cheated on each other, and, if we had, we would not be
together today. We talked a bout it years ago in length, and both of us have no leniency
with such actions, and we both knew if it happened, 'it is over', period, no room for
whining apologies, or excuses, or, especially if connected to alchohol or drugs,(which would
never happen in our case) which seems
to help get some out of these messes.

Wonder how John Edwards is feeling today, as he is a person who I respected a lot, now, I don't,
he is a fool, weak, inconsiderate, and I hope his wife kicks his ass out the door, but I have a feeling
that she 'will stand by her man', and that makes her a fool too.

Yeah, if I was religious I would call such behavior a 'sin'.
