Aw, did you go out tipping back a few last night to celebrate s_lone?

nah... just joking... But I will tonight though... So that might very well be how I feel tomorrow morning... It's the only day of the year when I'm at peace with my ''Irish heritage''...

''Alcoholism'' is what I call it on the other days...

I also celebrated Saint David's Feast! HA! Today I head down to my local where my Welsh friend for one day of the year, will drink Guinness. I expect that after a few hours of my encouragement, and the grand old magic of the Tall Blonde in a Black Dress, I'll have the bugger singing Whiskey In The Jar arm in arm on the stage. Off key. ;)

well, while I can't kiss you, I can put up an extra splash of green on my avatar for the occasion.

Happy St. Patricks day to everyone who 'cares'.

My dad was born in Dublin, all of his family were irish, but i'm afraid he went down
the path that many irish are accused of, and that's living the life of a 'drunk'.

He's at peace now, so my memories of him are the 'good' ones, there was 'some'.
Happy St. Patricks day dad.

I look Irish, and my real name is celtic, but, I have no Irish blood. Weird when I think about it.

I don't have any Irish blood either, but I have an extensive "Irish" lexicon which includes "don't be after me lucky charms" and "manly, yes, but I like it too"...pretty sad that these are from commercials. I am sure that any Irish folk are cringing now as they do not have Lucky Charms or Irish Spring soap in Ireland! Happy St. Paddy's Day from this greenhorn noob.

lol Gitaboo - I'd say your 'lexicon' is enough to merit celebrating the day. I'm somewhat Irish and all I know is "Faith and Begorrah!! " .... no clue what it means but I figure it's akin to "Christ on a cracker!!"

whoops. well I guess it IS a Catholic holiday and all, but meh... the rest of us like a good excuse to get festive too. They can have the 15th, we'll keep the 17th, non-practicing Catholics can have both plus all the days inbetween, and everyone's happy! ;-)

Take this un here, put it in yer pipe and smoke it eh: faith and bla bla bla

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

That's another Irish blessin.

one more::::
May you always have walls for the winds,
a roof for the rain, tea beside the fire,
laughter to cheer you, those you love near you,
and all your heart might desire.
