When my husband and I got married, it was through the Catholic Church, and in order for them to marry you, they required pre-marital counseling. Part of that counseling involved the 'rules of warfare'. How to fight fairly and resolve issues.
1. No swearing.
2. No use of the words 'always' or 'never'.
3. No arguing if you're not willing to evaluate your own contribution to a problem.
4. Avoid going to bed angry.
Does anyone else have any rules/communication tactics they use on a day to day basis in their marriage?
