Anyone here who used to participate in the 680 News forum? It ended very strangely I recall; hijacked by a mad poster I believe.

Sounds like it was probably a right-leaning news forum eh? Political news? Or just regular gossipy news?

Never heard of it and sorry someone these days can wield that much power in shutting down free speech.

Internet is changing - I keep seeing reports about monitoring and getting names off that Facebook place.... blah blah....

I know AOL's news forums don't follow the same format they used to. Rabid rightists would gang up on anyone who sounded like they cared - because they might be socialist. Hmm ... that sounds familiar sometimes....

Several web forums have been shut down such as C-Span and Arizona's AZCentral (though it still has its sports forum) because they were hijacked by ultra reichsters and the web hosts were too afraid of stopping them. Kinda like what this forum leans to at times.
