Tell me you have ACTUALLY read the Warren Commission report. Because I can tell you that the rumours are abound and have completely overblown the report to suit a political cause.

If you haven't read it, I think you should, if you are indeed interested in the topic.

I mean let's get serious, the moon landing never happened, a grand plot to kill Kennedy....for what? 9/11 was an inside job, we sank the Lusitiania ourselves ....just for kicks.......But of course we knew the japs were going to attack Pearl Harbor, we just get a kick of seeing thousands of Americans killed!

Some of you have to grow up.

I don't screw around with facts, I simply suggested a pattern. Conspiracy theorists will always believe what they want to believe, nothing will ever change their minds. I suggested a pattern. Tell me I'm wrong.

Oh yeah, we shot our own battleship to start the Vietnam War. I forgot that one, because, as you know, Vietnam is knee deep in oil.

Naw ... in 1964 nobody worried about oil. The dreaded communist/socialist red-in-the-bed thing was paranoia of the day. Believe what they want to believe? Yeah.... It's called freedom. For one who wishes to understand, never tell someone they're wrong. Ask them how they're right. Might I suggest this clinging to the State story in everything is like a kid who can't let go of Santa? Of course, you too, are free....

You are teaching your grandmother to suck eggs. The bullet that exploded Kennedy's head was probably not a military metal jacket. On the other hand that "pristine" looking bullet that appeared on a stretcher certainly didn't go through any bone. When I hunted with my rifle I always used soft points. Hell, didn't know full metal jacket rounds were available. Probably weren't in Canada.

Really, I'd love to know how the spreading of wealth - lessening the gap between rich and poor - is such a threat unless you happen to be one of the few who stole yours "fair and square"

Oh ya, I'm sure you're aching to live in Vietnam, North Korea, Cuba......or live in a system equal to it.

It was all just a scare!

Do you ever respond in sensible fashion? Drama really isn't your best suite. How do you know and how is it even your concern where I'm aching to live? Stalinism is to communist as Bush is to nazism. There is a middle ground called reality. Uncle Sam's fairy tales, like Uncle Joe's propaganda, are nowhere near it.

The reality of communism is at least 50 million and perhaps as many as 100 million dead in the twentieth century..........

"From each according to his ability and to each according to his need" is an absolutely wonderful idea.......if you totally disregard human nature.

It quickly become "from each as little as they can get away with and to each as much as they can grab".......and this from a guy that 35 years ago would have called himself a Marxist......then my brain stem became fully attached........

Actually, back in the day you could get 6.5 military surplus stuff cheap cheap............and the "magic" bullet was (if I remember correctly) a fully jacketed military-type bullet......but I agree, it didn't smash bone and remain perfect.

No insult intended, Juan.....I knew you would use proper ammunition for the task.

Well, that's communism as implemented by assorted demagogues, not as Marx and Engels wrote about it.

That's the key point, I think. Marx and Engels were, among other things, hopelessly idealistic, and the fundamental idea of communism, which is as you expressed it, is deeply contrary to human nature, and that's why it failed. Nobody ever implemented communism as Marx and Engels imagined it, but even if someone had, it wouldn't have worked. Marx thought it would happen first in some place like the United States or Britain, a developed industrial economy with a large working class, but he failed to foresee the rise of labour unions and how they would short circuit and preempt his ideas. Instead it happened in rural agrarian economies and the dictatorship of the proletariat emerged as a dictatorship of just another elite group, consistent with human nature and, in retrospect, completely predictable.

Marx was wrong. It really is that simple.

For those of you who think that any one that believes in a conspiracy theory should be wearing a tin foil hats, I have just one thing to say..........Evolution is JUST a theory. Maybe we just open our eyes and mind a little more than the rest of you that gather your daily information and thoughts from main stream media.

Hmm, conspiracy theories. Perhaps this one was discussed, perhaps not.

One of my husband's uncles phoned another one of his uncles the other day, to ask about getting a frequency disruptor or some such ridiculous thing, to help mask the signals of any locator chips that may possibly have been implanted under his skin during alien abductions. Our governments make good money, don't you know, by taking alien technological gifts in return for allowing them covert use of our airspace to abduct and experiment on our citizenry.

good money, you said. The only good money for the canadian government to get in a dodgy manner would surely be CAD, since any other currency would need conversion and hence raise questions. Perhaps they pay in gold?
