Escaping the cold

This winter we are planning a driving trip to sunny Florida. Does anyone have advice as to the best route. Should we go to Detroit and down I 75 or take the Buffalo crossing? Google maps have the routes and distances but nothing beats experience.

Any tips would be welcome.

Try something different for a change and have some adventure while doing it: drive as the goose flies - straight line.

I prefer the cold over the hot myself, but have fun.
