GST rebate question.

If I filed 4 years of GST at once would I still only get that cheque on the next quarterly payout date? It was filed the same time as my return but I've been hearing they won't put it on the same cheque. Anyone know about this?

You get GST money back? The only time I ever got any back was when I overpaid my quarterly payment.

The amount you get back is based on your income level. Apparently, you make too much

There was a recent case here of an elderly lady who hadn't filed for years, and she could only get GST from a year back.

That is true. I apply every year though, because my computer program tells me to. I know a guy who makes six figures and his computer program tells him the same thing. 8O

The one time I did get money back was when I running my reno company. I made a math error and submitted way more than I was supposed to. They were nice enough to correct the error and issue the company a cheque. I paid myself a bonus with that money, since it was mine anyway.
