A couple freaked out diners at a Mexican restaurant in Nixa, Missouri, this week when their boa constrictor was allowed to stay for dinner.
Management agreed after the man claimed it's his service animal.
"We had just gotten our meal and in walks this lady and man, and the lady had the snake around her neck at first, and it started to slither off of her neck down into the booth behind her," Lisa Loeffelholz told KY3 TV.
Loeffelholz said she took a picture when the woman handed the snake to the man across from her, and then she told her server.
"The manager came over to us and said it was (the man's) service animal, so we have to allow him to stay. So that's when my mom and I and the girls decided that we would not stay," she told the TV station.
The man told Loeffelholz the snake helps him deal with depression.
According to the Americans with Disabilities Act, only dogs can be considered sevice animals.
