A woman was charged with assault with a weapon after another suffered face and chest burns when she was attacked with hot pizza Easter Sunday.
The 22-year-old woman was standing in line with her friends at 2:15 a.m. at the Pizza Market in Truro, N.S. when she was assaulted.
CBC identified the victim as Paige Beaudry and reported that she was attacked with a steaming hot slice after telling a man he had cut in line.
She was then threatened by a woman.
"She just reached over and smeared the pizza in my face and then the other two girls started beating on me," Beaudry told CBC.
Truro Police Deputy Chief Jim Flemming wasn't sure how bad the burns are or if Beaudry even went to hospital.
A 29-year-old local woman was charged Monday afternoon. Two other people were questioned and released.
