Since the 1960s, Lego has had a series of co-branding marketing partnerships with Shell, and children around the world could play with Shell-branded Lego sets. Today, this partnership comes to an end: Lego has announced its intention not to renew its contract with the petroleum giant.

"The long-term co-promotion contract we entered with Shell in 2011 delivers on the objective of bringing LEGO bricks into the hands of many children, and we will honour it -- as we would with any contract we enter," wrote Lego Group CEO Jørgen Vig Knudstorp in a statement.

"We continuously consider many different ways of how to deliver on our promise of bringing creative play to more children. We want to clarify that as things currently stand we will not renew the co-promotion contract with Shell when the present contract ends."

Oh ffs. Could anybody hate Greenpeace any more than I?

Them and those stupid Sea Shepherds.

Oh no, Shell is bad and evil to the environment.... Quick Lego, cut ties with them so you don't look as bad despite the amount of pollution you create from the factories that make all your bajillion various plastic blocks with various chemical dyes for the colorful looks they have.

Short sight fk'n hippy wankers.

What would this accomplish anyways? Shell doesn't have the support of Lego anymore and Greenpeace and their idiotic mindless azz suckers think Shell is going to magically stop what they're doing?

Greenpeace, PETA and the Sea Shepherds have no understanding or intelligence to tackle real problems with real solutions and only know how to make publicity stunts to get attention for themselves so they in turn get more money from their mindless followers so they can pull more useless stunts.

They've all become their own commercial brand. Some of them may think they're heroes making a difference but they're attention seeking wh0res who simply don't know how to hold a real job in society & think they're smarter and better than everybody else.

21 Century collection of Jesusez trying to tell us how we should live because they know best, all the while they don't have the first clue of sweet fuk all on how to solve any real problem while maintaining society in any logical fashion.

These people just make me want to club a seal with a rusty shovel, drop a leaky car engine into an aquarium full of dolphins and eat some Japanese Whale Sushi while wearing a tuxedo made from baby pandas.
