Try and imagine how some old dudes moved 100 ton blocks of precision cut andesite or granite. There are pieces all over the world that defy being moved today not to mention the fact that they can't be reproduced today either. You can even see the radial saw marks left in the pieces, Egypt, Peru. So there's been millwrights for many thousands of years. I don't know where they went.
