How did you see these growing up?

Well, when they're just chicks, they look like this. . .

But over time they grow, the vertical stabiliser becomes rounded, the wingtip tanks develop, and they look like your picture.

Then over the years, they come to look like this. . .

Eventually they grow old and fly off to Arizona to die.


It's the circle of life.
