But if this budget was a cunning ploy to purchase a majority, is it really a joke?
...
I don't see why this time should be any different. May as well find the humour in it even if you do have to keep it to yourself.

I'll stick to watching the history closely, so as not to let those that would, repeat it.
um

I understand your point but unless you want to run for office you might be better of just being content with the knowledge that you saw it coming.

Ancient history? Like Mulroneys spending? The one thing the Liberals keep throw out when their dear party is attacked?...
you mean out of nowhere? sure. exactly like that.

Are you purposefully avoiding the fact that he might be as cunning and sneaky as every other politician and willing to stoop to any low to retain office? Only to come back and rule as he saw fit.

The point is, if we ignore or chose to let history be lost in the past, we are bound to repeat it. As you brought up the dragging up of ancient history being a "strawman" theory to distract people, I felt it was worth mentioning that we should not forget it, it serves as a worth while reminder of what happens when one political party is left unchecked for far to long.

It isn't in this thread, surprizingly, but it is usually the first line of the Liberal defence plan.

come on guy. I said "strawmen and ancient history". Let's not reduce discussion to the correct and incorrect interpretation of conjunctions.

I'm not bothering to mention the possibility because the inevitable swarm of troll it will stir up would make it not worth the aggrevation. Thanks for asking.
