Here's one to use on your tree hugging, vegan friends....

You open with the line "So these two baby seals walk into a club...."

Then you leave them hanging. First they look at you like you're not quite with it. Then they realize, oh, it's the opening line to a sick joke. They don't know whether to laugh or go into a fit of rage.
LMAO. Oh that was great...if only Americans would know what a seal hunt was it would work great.

You know what they say about assuming....

Honestly, until people stop making this argument based on emotions and use some facts, I won't find myself on their side. Their basic argument seems to boil down to seals are special because they're cute. I don't see why it's ok to slaughter cows, chicken, pigs and fish but not seal. Even the veterinary association came out years ago saying their deaths are instant and not cruel. If it isn't causing unecessary suffering, I don't see the problem.
Well...it's gotta hurt a little. I mean if you miss or don't come down hard enough. Like getting hit in the head with a baseball bat. But anyways. Why can't they put a small .22 caliber slug in the brain

Come on, don't be perpetuating stereotypes about your fellow Americans. Replace seal with trespasser maybe?

Filmmakers outsmart dolphin killers: Secret film will expose Japan's brutality
The story of how this film of the barbaric killing and subsequent butchering of dolphins was made -- together with the resulting sale of their meat that massively exceeds Japanese and international limits for mercury content -- is told here, exclusively, for the first time anywhere in print.

Now, I want to start out by saying that I oppose the killing of dolphins, but at the same time why are we not seeing films showing the killing of whales and dolphins by military sonar systems?

Soon there will be no seals to kill because their birthing places (ice floes) will be non-existent. AGW will take care of the ice floes, just ask David Skuzuki if you don't believe me.

Yeah but when something is going to die, it will usually always suffer some amount prior to actually being declared dead for a certain given time. Suffering can never be actually removed completely in anything.

Heck even if they lopped your head off in a guillotine apparently your brain is still alive for something like 10 seconds afterwards until all the blood runs out of the head, so you could still be alive looking around as they hold your head up to the crowd (Although not able to use any muscles to move your face most likely)

If you miss a direct hit with the first blow, the second strike is just a second behind. Take a 22.cal and shoot them in the head.... that's still no guarantee they'll die quickly without pain. How many people have you heard in the news who were shot in the head and still surviving? Of course some might have brain damage and the sort, but they're still alive and they experienced a bullet to the skull, so I'd say they suffered.

How long does it take for a lobster to die when you throw them into boiling water head first? Some say instantly, some don't.... Everything's going to die eventually for some reason or another... be that food, accident, or on purpose. I don't see lions and sharks sitting around debating whether or not they should switch to plankton or figs.

And who do we sue when a family member dies of natural causes but suffered? There are no guarantees in life.

David Suzuki knows about as much about the environment as a Pharmacy Custodian... that's a technical term for Janitor.

The fact that he blew up in a radio interview over a few simple questions in regards to Global Warming kinda expresses either a closed minded and restrictive mentality to explain the truth so others understand his position, or he's an idiot who's lying his ass off..... both are the same if you ask me.

It would be easy to get Americans killing baby seals, we would just have to put turbans on them, mind you, I think all the phosphorous would ruin the pelts...
