What does Web 2.0 have to do with this?

This hole has been around since the advent of BGP routers, only recently people figured out how to exploit it.

Only recently some people have figured out how to exploit it.

New crap is always sold to us this way. The old works just fine but the new fixes a whole bunch of problems no one knew existed anyway.

It reminds me of the .com collapse once old money realized it might have missed something the media harped on the "bubble." Everyone (who was paying attention) knew there was a bubble. I predicted the hype over collapse well over a year before it started.

Web 2.0 is the same line of bullox.

I still don't get what web 2.0 has to do with this though. This problem has to do with enterprise routers and how they determine where to route traffic. Web 2.0 is just a buzz word used to describe the evolution of the web.
