Hi ,got a new laptop Lenovo, using Windows XP. Works fine ,but doesn't show any Pictures /photographs.If I want to check some pictures of catamarans all I get is little squares - it goes the same for pictures of the nude ladies..Do I have to download some software ? Same thing with DVD ,can't play them ,it says I need a decoder . Can I down load it .for free.I'm in a part of China where computer shopes are hard to come by .Thanks for all your help i advance , China

China, Hello.
XP should have come with a picture viewer. Try going to the Windows update site to see if you have all the latest improvements for XP. From there you can navigate to the Microsoft site for media player and download Media Player 11. You will need to allow microsoft to install their 'validation' tool so they can see you have a legitimate copy of XP. It is a good way to start as these updates are nessessary for XP. Good luck.
