Like the 85% of Canada behind the fella in the OP. Yah, real good job on that West....

Anyways this is totally off topic. My bad. I don't use the outlook program on my computer because I initially had some issues with it. Then I forgot my password...Not that I used the address anyways.

Isn`t `kludgy and slow something to do with the computer.

I have a new laptop with dual core processor and 200 GB hard-drive. Windows Vista Home Premium, and Office `07 and Outlook works amazingly well.

And are you judging `03 or `07 edition.

I have no problems with Outlook on my computer.

And TenPenny, I have been noticing you make alot of statements but never back them up with anything until your asked, not very good format for forum debates.
No, kludgy and slow has to do with the convoluted way you have to manipulate all of this. It takes several steps and hunting around the computer to find and move the files and mailboxes.
Why don't you grow up. You're pathetic. You don't even understand what you're talking about.

Why is Outlook awful. Examples please
It's a bloated piece of mess. I use it at work daily, it uses about 100mb of ram sitting idle... then you also have the security holes...

The whole "unlimited space" on a webmail account is a joke for the most part. I would bet that 99% of webmail users have less the 50mb of data stored on their accounts.

i don't think so. Believe me, u'd be surprised how many people use these web based emails such as gmail for storage. As for hotmail, i think you could be right. But gmail and other larger email clients, probably have users who use up to the 500mb or more. I know i'm using a gig of my space on my gmail account, and its basically just backed up docs (the very important one) from my cmoputer just incase of a crash.

The thing is though, you may have unlimited storage space, but to use it as a storage device requires you to have a hefty upload speed on your internet connection. Average high speed connections have an upload of anywhere from 300-800kbs, uploading any large files is going to take forever and a day.

Instead of calling it outlook..those who use firebird call it "lookout"

I have never had trouble with Outlook, works very well for me, flawless in fact.

I think its just the general anti-Microsoft feel from a lot of people. Anything Microsoft is bad... mind you they created the most successful software suite ever... Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook.
