What operating system(s) do you use?

Wanted to get a general consensus from everyone. I'm sure everyone uses Windows XP, but has anyone experience with Linux, Unix, FreeBSD or MacOS?


I personally use Windows XP Professional for my everyday computing. But I've also been known to have Linux on my laptop and use Linux where ever I possibly can.

By the way, I think Lindows is crap

I use XP on my chat computer (this one) and 2 notebooks. Windows 2000 Server on 2 machines and Windows 2003 Server on the third. Other worksations (16 in total) , I have linux and FreeBSD with multiboot with Windows 2000 Pro). No knowledge of MacOS.

You got that right. Lindows is a piece of crap. Crashed my systems on many occasions. Stay away from it.

OS X. It is a phenomenal system, combining steady-as-a-rock Unix layered with the smooth and pretty OS X desktop, and just for grins, good old Classic OS 9 for those programs that won't run on OS X.

Yeah, I have this big rectangle box on my floor with a green light on it. And then this monitor thing with a nother green light on it. Something that takes pictures and then something that prints them.

I just push the buttons.
