XP Fault!!! HELP!

hello, i'm having a few problems, and i wished to ask for advice. my system seems to crash randomly while playing games or even 3dmark 2001. It will either just crash to the desktop, or lock up. lately, most the times it CTD's it doesn't offer an error report. i'm running the following:

Soyo Dragon+ Motherboard (via drivers)
768mb 2100 ddr ram
AMD 1700+ 1.47ghz
Geforce 4 ti 4400 (using 29.42 drivers)
XP home edition
on board sound (cmedia)
on board network card

it seems that the display adaptors, the network adaptor (on board), and the sound adaptor (on board) are all on IRQ 11. I thought that could be the problem, but i tried turning off the network and sound and running 3dmark. It had a CTD during the nature portion.

i have ran 3dmark successfully before, the CDTs and locks are random. Sometimes i'll play a game for hours, other times it'll crash every 5 minutes.

i am not using the newest drivers. i recently reformatted trying to see if a fresh start would help. before the format i had all the newest drivers. now, that i've formated i'm not using the newest drivers, and performance is about the same. additionally when i have these crashes, i don't have other applications running in the background.

this problem has baffled me for a while and often made me scream in frustration. any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Updating your drivers is a must. Most of my old games and progs still dont work after doing even that on XP. It did help for some, but its XP and bill Gates. Microsucks is just that.

I had this problem once before, thought it was a cooling issue, but it turned out that I had conflicting drivers. I now make the effort to go and update my drivers on a monthly basis to the newest versions from the manufacturers website.

No problems since. Hope this helps ya!
