Rogers FAQ Claims "No Download Caps"....?

FAQ # 82
"No, there is no monthly download limit. Rogers Hi-Speed
Internet gives you unlimited access for one flat monthly
rate. No caps, no restrictions - just surf and download what
you want, when you want it."

I suggest you save it, print it, have it signed, dated and
witnessed. It is evidence that Rogers has no plans to impose
download caps. This can be dynamite, especially if they have
already implimented them.

You must select the Category "Internet on Cable"
with a Sub Category "All Sub-Categories"
Then go to Page 5 to find FAQ # 82

Sorry for the confusion.

Sting.

The entire URL for Page 5 is --

FAQ URL (may not work, seems to be truncated) --

Stingray: I have personally email rogers about that faq page. It was about a month ago, and i questioned them about a capped line... Because technically, our lines are capped upstream (especially) and downstream.

They didnt do anything and it also took about 5 emails of my time. So screw them.

Also, Rogers has not yet implemented the caps in anyway... This will probably be in a few months after they have taken some of Sympatico's customers so they can rake in some extra people into their traps and then make sure there's no point in going back to sympatico!

Rogers has said they will have caps by the end of the summer, but yes as it stands now they are unlimited.

Nowhere did they say that they have no plans of imposing caps, what the faq simply states is that right now there isn't caps or restrictions.

Actually, Rogers AUP (Acceptable Use Policy), states that Policies and Access Regulations can change from time to time without notice (looks at his receipt for Cable installation).

So really they arent doing anything wrong (damn). Wish there was some way we could catch them of course all of us changing providers would hurt them a little, probably not too much, but would put a little of a dent in them, considering they are COUNTING on high usage users to stay with them so they will actually be able to make some cash.

I don't know if contacting the CRTC would do anything to help.. But think about it this way. With Cable Internet, there is absolutely no competition at all . So is there a way to possible construe this cap move as anti-competitive. As when the CRTC allowed Shaw to trade places with Rogers, we were supposed to have no extra charges. *shakes his head*
