Leo DiCaprio picked up an environmental award in NYC this week — but hypocritically expanded his carbon footprint by 8,000 miles when he obtained the honor, by taking a private jet from Cannes, then flying straight back to France on another jet for a model-packed fund-raiser a night later.

DiCaprio was at the Cannes Film Festival this week, and was spotted there partying at club Gotha on Monday with model Georgia Fowler, then jetted back to New York for the Riverkeeper Fishermen’s Ball at Chelsea Piers on Wednesday, where he was honored by the clean-water advocacy group and Robert De Niro.

Just 24 hours later, DiCaprio reappeared back in France for amfAR’s glitzy Cinema Against AIDS gala, where he gave a speech.

The difference is that humans have more influence and it's been scientifically shown already.

it also proves that the al gore minions cannot admit when one of their own goes completely off the rails, like this 'I felt the global warming' chinook arsehole flying and cruising around.

Have you never heard of practice what you preach?
Or are you a hypocrite too?

Have you ever realized that his hypocrisy only reinforces the need to reduce emissions?

Or we can just stick to tired, old man euphemisms.

Of course he is. He has said repeatedly that HE will not buy an electric car for example.

Welcome to the reality of government intervention instead of relying on private industry.

So apparently if you are rich and famous you can make as big a carbon footprint as you want just because. But the average taxpayer must suffer and pay because of a few loud wingnuts that want to destroy our economy. The proper way to promote electric vehicles is to make them cost effective. Even if you have to charge them with expensive and dangerous nuke power.
