The beast is a lamb, the sacrificial lamb upon which all the sins of the world were placed on.
That makes Jesus a monster by comparison to say me, for I am responsible for my own sins, but He, for the worlds sins.
The number 666 is the same number doubled twice.
6 is the number of man, the first Adam. The first Adam brought us life in the flesh but also death or eternal separation.
God doubles twice before He brings it to pass.
Doubling then the first is a second Adam, that being Jesus as a man rectifies the first into a new 6 man Adam.
That new man Adam is what the bible calls the "new Creature" which is not of this world bu heavenly, yet can exist still in the flesh.
If you can understand all that, your fears of the Anti-Christ, the Devil, Satan, will open up a whole new understanding, mainly who wonderful God is.

Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshiped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
1. "Thrones and those who sat upon them"=The high priests, the Sanhedrin.
2. "Judgment was given to them", they were over Jesus in earthly power.
3. The souls beheaded=1 & 2 Above meaning, their standing with God was stolen from them by Christ when He said to them: Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
4. "witness of Jesus" =they made Jesus who Jesus represented by rejecting Him.
5."which had not worshiped the beast"= they rejected Jesus and "His image" of who He was.
6."neither did they receive His mark" (meaning recieved His massage) or "in their hands" (meaning did the work of Jesus)
7. "They lived and reigned with Christ one thousand years"= they saw to the end from the beginning of Jesus' travail to the cross, begun at sundown Friday eve at the Lords supper.
That one verse gives us a picture of what transpired that one day, as a thousand years to God is but one day.
Jesus, I hold as my Lord and Savior, my Redeemer and friend, on whose foundation I stand, and who has given me privilege to understand with great responsibility the mysteries of this one great day of the Lord, the day of His crucification.
The "lamb" of God who taketh away the sins of the world.
His name is written in my forehead (my minds heart) and the in my hands (Work of sharing this wonderful God of love to whomever He causes to cross my life's path.
There now is neither Jew nor Greek, but one body, and that body is Christ.
