I understand you feel he FOUNDED that church, but he hasn't RUN it in a long time. Men have and those men are fallible as evidenced by their many poor choices over the years (do we really even need to specifically mention the horrible acts of certain priests?). If those running the church are fallible, then it's hard for someone who hasn't been raised to believe their every word to suddenly do so. It makes no sense for us because the only argument that believers can give us is "because the church said so" or "because it's what I believe". Those reasons are ok for them, but I don't see how they can expect it to be enough for a non-catholic to convert to catholicism.
