Action has to be taken by the parents. First they have to teach their children that as parents they will not judge them, because often children feel ashamed and that it is their fault. You make me have hope. You hear not just my words but my heart and that gives me hope.
This has everything to do with trust. Priests are the closest to God. We are told that in the youngest of CCD. Priests are the only ones allowed to talk directly to Jesus and only Jesus talks to God (I dont believe this tripe anymore) So as a child whatever a priest does its being done by God himself. Whatever a priest says is being said by god himself. A boy is being molested by a priest thinks he is being touched by god. He knows its wrong but how could it be wrong? A priest is doing it so god must want it done. Trust. That child trusted god, trusted the priest, trusted the church.
All sorts of children trusted the church for protection and were denied.

Sparrow this is a show on line that you can watch if you wish. its 90 mins and its about an altar boy in Salem Mass, I knew this priest, the one that hid it all. Its an American diecies so it may not intrest others. But the story speaks for those who couldnt tell and for those that still hide.

Rant on!!! The only way to heal is to not be afraid of the truth. If the "church" forgives sins then they should look at their own sins and confess those sins looking for forgiveness from the small children they dismiss.
