"Now Thomas (also known as Didymus), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. So the other disciples told him, 'We have seen the Lord!'

But he said to them, 'Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.'

A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, 'Peace be with you!' Then he said to Thomas, 'Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.'

Thomas said to him, 'My Lord and my God!'

Then Jesus told him, 'Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.' (John 20:24-29 NIV)

Be blessed!

I did my good Christian deed today. I gave a homeless man sat on the floor outside a Sainsbury's petrol station £2.

OOOOH! What a big spender...LOL! Next time buy him lunch and talk with him for an hour. Dropping 2 quid into a cup is just a futile attempt at appeasing your own guilt about walking past someone in need.

"Unless I see ... and put my finger ... and put my hand ... "

Yeppers.....science rules, blind faith is for those who cannot accept responsibility for their own lives and existence.

I'm not giving food to a complete stranger in the street. What do you think I am? A dabbawala?

I don't have any guilt about walking past someone in need. It's not my fault he decided not to pay the rent.

I do not recall saying Jesus was a fiction. I believe there is much evidence he was alive and a real person. What he wasn't was 'the son of god' or any type of diety or demi-god. He was a man, nothing more. There was no resurrection and he didn't walk on water or feed thousands with 1 fish and a loaf of bread.

Watch the first 20 minutes of this and you will never believe in another religion again
