Humans are pattern seeking animals and will find meaning in random data even if it does not exist. Americans are specially prone to these poor mental judgements because it is over compensation for the many times they fail to see patterns where meaning does exist.
For example Mexican drug cartels exists because of the huge demand for drugs in America. Penalizing the undocumented worker or illegal migrant will not reduce the drug addiction Americans suffer from.

How can people be helped to recognize and identify correctly what they see.? They should be treated for cognitive dissonance specially at religious gatherings where mass hysteria is induced with directed crowd control.
