A 25-year-old Fredericton skateboarder is prepared to go to jail rather than pay a fine for skateboarding on city streets. Claiming that Fredericton's bylaw S-9, which prohibits people from using a sled, toboggan, wagon or skateboard on city streets, is useless, Lee Breen will prove this point by accepting a five-day jail term for his boarding offence. Read more about this story.
But Fredericton isn't the only place with outdated bylaws. In parts of Ontario there are still clothesline bans in place, restricting homeowners from employing a more eco-friendly option when it comes to their laundry.

A bylaw preventing skateboarding on city STREETS is useless? pardon me? Seems pretty useful to me. If they mean city SIDEWALKS, I totally rescind my view, but, city streets are no place for wagons, toboggans, or skateboards.
