The company that owns a hot air balloon that caught fire and crashed in Surrey, B.C., will meet with Transportation Safety Board officials Monday as part of the investigation to find out what caused the deadly accident.
Meanwhile, Fantasy Balloon has suspended operations after the accident that killed two people and injured 11 others Friday night.
There were 12 passengers and one pilot aboard the balloon when fire broke out in the gondola, which was still tied to the ground. Most of the passengers were able to get out, including one who jumped about 15 metres.
And on August 11, at least three people were rushed to hospital on Saturday after a hot air balloon crashed and caught on fire in a farmer's field near St. Clement, Man.
A witness said the balloon appeared to be coming in too low and too quickly as it tried to land.

What a catastrophe that was. When things go wrong they get exponentially worse when people are jumping out.

They should have shut the gas off immediately - even if it was already in flight - a short fall would have saved the last two people and probably fewer serious injuries would have occurred. What an awful story.
