Federal Agriculture Minister Chuck Strahl fired the president of the Canadian Wheat Board on Tuesday, amid a controversy over the Conservatives' plan to end the agency's monopoly.
I'm divided on this one. I know if I was growing my own wheat, then I'd sell it where I damn well pleased, and the sight of farmers being arrested for selling their own grain was like something out of theold USSR......but a lot of farmers seem to think the CWB is a good thing.
I guess in the final analysis, I'd have to go with individual freedom..........sell where you please.
