Mexican police move in on Oaxaca protest

Demonstrators in the Mexican resort city of Oaxaca retreated from heavily armed federal police on Sunday, although a few said they would continue to defend the barricades they have built in the southern community.

An irony fan from the 80's would have a great chuckle today:

"Reagan asks Gobechov to "knock down this wall".....today "US builds wall to stop foreigners invading

"The US are the first to use a nuclear bomb on Japan in Nagasaki and Hiroshama".....today "The US issues a sttement proclaiming that it will defend Japan from Nuclear attack" - bloody ironic considering it was them that dropped a few on them last time!!!.
