RCMP reviews security levels after U.S. forces kill Osama bin Laden

(The Canadian Press) – 1 hour ago
OTTAWA — The RCMP says it's assessing the death of Osama bin Laden to see what — if any — impact it might have on the threat level in Canada.

There are concerns the al-Qaida leader's demise may prompt reprisals against western nations, including Canada. The RCMP says it remains vigilant about potential threats to national security. The Mounties also have a mandate to protect foreign diplomatic properties in Canada such as embassies. They say the force will adjust security measures at such locations as needed.

The long-elusive Bin Laden was killed by U.S. forces who stormed a luxury compound near the Pakistan capital of Islamabad.

Even if we weren't directly involved, we definitely sported a lot of pom poms.

Oh and you're involved. Maybe not this particular action but you're involved.

Ever see the Canadian Sniper videos? He wasn't shooting watermellons.

Boy could that Cannuck shoot.
