Though many conservatives are turning their backs to the conservative party, they are still conservatives and as such are still looking for conservative candidates to elect.

Seeing that last election we had Arthur as an independent libertarian-leaning candidate in the House, that he's running again this election along with Guergis (also now a conservative-leaning independent candidate), we we could only have more independent conservative candidates running in multiple ridings across the country, we likely could get a enough conservative or libertarian-leaning independent MPs to the House to form a conservative-leaning majority coalition, yet with the Conservative Party forming a minority party (preferably not even a plurality-party in the House), we'd have the best of both worlds with a conservative-leaning majority coalition, but with the Conservative Party still kept in check in that it could not function without a coalition.

I hope we do see a growth in independent conservative leaning candidates in the coming elections because right now only a handful of Conservative candidates truly are worth voting for. Heck, even Harper should not be reelected to the House. In fact, quite honestly, the odd blue Green in some ridings is likely more conservative than the Conservative candidates.
