If you can't decide who to vote for, let state-run media decide for you! This is a fun and interesting little quiz that maps your positions in relation to the political parties in this election.

Canada Votes 2011 - CBC News

Some of the questions are a bit flawed or misleading. For entertainment purposes only I guess.

My result:

I got close to Liberal but had Stephen Harper as my preferred Prime Minister. It's not like we have any better options with Ignatieff and Layton. Goes to show how important leadership personalities can be I guess. I still consider myself a green and socialist. My politics just can't be pinned down so easily, ha ha!. Obviously it's the parties that have it all wrong and not me. :p

A Green AND a Socialist??? GACK!!!!!! :)

I'm so far over on the Conservative side that Harper should be supporting ME!!!

I found it flawed too it put me closer to the Conservatives

Perhaps it is your voting record and political affiliation that is flawed.....

Just sayin!!!!

This old Rhinocerous has found a new home as a Liberal. Amazing how as you get older how white bread you become, maybe if I last another 40 years I might make it to the Conservative sphere.

I'm not surprised where I ended up-fiscally conservative/socially progressive. Which, accordingly, would put me within the Liberal camp. I suppose based on traditional party policies, that might be true. But I'm still quite far from being a "true believer" in the Liberal party or any other party.

I still think we need an entire change of cast. The plotlines are getting too stale and predictable, resulting in a very tuned-out public tuning out even more.

Harper may have the best option as leader to bring the merged party into the mainstream, but he still not seem to resonate with the voters. And Ignatief, I honestly do not know what the Liberals were thinking?!? (Nor Dion either).

Bottom line for me is, this "test" did not point out anything to me that I didn't already know and it did nothing to help me in making a positive choice that I can feel good about.

I'm dead center...pretty much as I expected. The Liberals are the natural party for me. So it says a lot about the Liberal Party that I have no intention of voting for them.

:cussing:I'm a raving socialistic NDP/Liberal..........but, :love9:VERY respectful of all other parties, peoples, races.

Unless they don't agree with me.

I expected somewhere in NDP territory, but went so far left I ended up getting Green. I didn't even answer in agreement with the carbon tax question. Oh well.

It really bugs me though, that they didn't have any questions about net neutrality or government transparency - or even 'freedom of information' as an umbrella term. It seems extremely ironic considering they went to all this trouble to inform us with this political compass.

Also, it's really bizarre that Conservatives are so far in opposition to everyone else.

It means the blue icon needs to move up and to the left to represent more Canadians.

Anyone else see the upper left quadrant as Europe and the lower right as America - or is it just me?

I'm Liberal!!!

I need a shower!

Makes sense based on your views, actually. It's just that the current Libs are Cons in disguise.
