A National Shame?

Canada's health care system is puzzling. I find it hard to believe that citizens wait hours in the ER, wait weeks for a simple MRI and wait months or years for simple knee surgery. These facts by themselves constitute what should be Canada's national shame. Yet somehow Canadians are in denial. It is a very dangerous denial that costs lives. Canada, your socialist health care system isn't working properly. It has completely failed, as all socialist programs inevitably do. It already lacks proper funding, and will soon run out of money. Will Canadians be willing to pay even higher taxes to support a failing system and a failed ideology?
Not only are Canadians in denial, they are also deluded. Canadians honestly believe that they have a better health care system than the United States. This is factually untrue. There is no escaping the fact that this belief is a complete lie.
However, your health care system isn't even the worst part about your country. I notice that citizens (if one may even call you that) often rely on the government to make their decisions for them. Do you all have trouble thinking for yourselves? If government says that something is a good idea, Canadians will automatically believe that it is so. It's disturbing. You all pay too much in taxes to support a government that encroaches more and more on your daily lives. Where is the outrage? Are you not individual thinking human beings? Open your eyes. OPEN YOUR EYES!

How many Canadian doctors have moved south where they can charge the more-money-than-brains crowd whatever they want?
Probably a whole bunch of doctors have moved here from Canada. The reason is they probably don't make enough money in Canada. Do you seriously have a problem with doctors making money?

Have YOU used the Health Care system?
Yes I have. I've seen the shabby hospitals, I know that there aren't many doctors. I know all of this. It's why I am so outraged. I don't understand how you can possibly defend your country's dilapidated hospitals. They look like they belong in a third world country.

Too true. In fact, we've done away with contemporary nomenculture. Generally speaking, we refer to one another via the identity bar code stamped across every citizen's forehead... It's so much easier for gvt to track our individual needs and make the necessary decisions on our behalf.

It's a real time saver.

All kidding aside. I'm guessing that your nation is scheduled for an unpleasant wake-up call relative to taxes... Sad to see it by the way, but you will be wise to brace yourself for a very large bill in the not so distant future.

We shall see what the new Republican congress does. They are debating severe spending cuts so hopefully that will help. I can't help but notice a twinge of superiority complex in your response. Canada's superiority complex is laughable and unwarranted. Come back when your citizens are truly free.

Hopefully, they will be capable of making some kind of workable solution, but in the end, the bill has got to be paid and make no mistake, it is a substantial bill.

Don't confuse sarcasm for anything other than what it is.

Your comment about a superiority complex has got me to believing that you are posting these comments in an attempt to convince yourself of your own value as opposed to really commenting on Canada.

No. Canada's system of government is infuriating. Do you know how long it will take my mom to see a dermatologist? Her appointment is in MAY! What kind of health care is that?!

You can't deny that you don't have a clue what you are talking about.
Just because you say it, doesn't make it true. I notice that not a one of you are disagreeing with what I am saying. Try to defend the way Canada does anything. I dare you!

I have family in Canada so your country's crappy system affects me directly. Your country doesn't care for its citizens properly.

I wish I could. But she is like so many other Canadians. She is anti-American and won't come here. It's truly sad how brainwashed you all are.
