The Sri Lanka civil war is almost over and Tamil Tigers decided to bring the war to Toronto.

Tamil Tigers in Toronto is blocking a major highway and are vowing to stay there until Ontario and Canada contribute more money.

Seems that Canada’s three million dollar donation for humanitarian aid is just not enough for the Toronto Tamil Tigers.

On the updates on the news channel police said that the terrorist Tamil Tigers are ready to sacrifice their women and children The Tamil Tiger protesters have forced their women and children to the front of the line because like in Sri Lanka the Tamil Tigers a rebel group that Canada outlawed as a terrorist group like to use human shields and in Toronto it is the same.

The Tamil Tigers are losing the war in Sri Lanka so instead of just laying down their weapons they decided to wake up their sleeper cells and create chaos in Toronto.

The police just don’t want to do anything about it and Toronto’s mayor is unwilling to act.

It’s time for Harper to bring in the military now that we have soldiers that fought the Taliban, the Tamil Tigers would be a walk in the park.

When the police or military start to move them off the highway the children will get hurt first That,s the way terrorists work.

You know how terrorists work do you? Why do you assume they are terrorist? They sound just like any union picket. Are there guns? Bombs? As if a provincial government has any international power anyhow....

Why would the children be hurt at all? The police in this country are not going to hurt the children.

Um, Mr. Wolf, read these and then ask him again why he "assumes" the Tigers are terrorists:

BBC NEWS | World | South Asia | Tamil Tigers: A fearsome force

The Tamil Tigers reap what they've sown

Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tamil Tigers 'putting 11-year-old girls on the front line' | NowPublic News Coverage

Civilian Massacres Carried out by LTTE Terrorists

etc

And to think, that freakin moron, aPAULing Martin was supporting them.

The Tigers may be terrorist ...but that doesn't make every Sri Lankan/Tamil a Tiger any more than every Ontarian is a Leafs fan ... or every Liberal man is a genuine liberal (Websters - broad-minded or generous)

Evidence or accusation?

Regardless, this community wants to be heard.

Time to Speak Out: Bring the Perpetrators of Genocide to Justice

...The events taking place by the Sri Lankan state is clearly defined as genocide, and the events that have taken place on the island since the medieval period is proof that the Tamils are a distinct nation; have identified territorial boundary; and have the right to self-determination under international law. Further, the global community should indict the Sri Lankan government and military leaders for committing war crimes as defined by the U.N. The world is watching to see if Sri Lanka will be charged for genocide crimes just as they did in Yugoslavia and Rwanda...

Right. I wasn't paying attention. It does seem, now that I reread his post, LM was a$$uming or at least hinting that all Tamils were Tigers. I need more coffee. lol

I just made it into downtown toronto before they blocked the highway. Passed the cops racing to the scene. I thought it was disgusting. Who in their right mind would bring children to an illegal and potentially dangerous protest? Idiots! They were also blocking University Avenue on and off for days (for those of you not familiar with the city, that's the street that has Princess Margaret Hospital, Mount Sinai Hospital, the Hospital for Sick Children....). Jerks.

If they hadn't been blocking the road ways would we even know about their protests and the events they're protesting?

I've known about them for a while, though that may be from living in Toronto. The problem these groups face is they forget that becoming known isn't the most important thing, it's becoming known and liked that matters. No one is eager to help people who pi$$ them off. The fact that they are waving Tiger flags makes it even worse. I can't imagine many countries would allow protests supporting known terrorist organizations to close down one of the busiest roads in the country.

Protest works, the bolder the better. The Tamils only proved what every organization knows. Being liked is nice but being heard is better.

How did it "work" exactly? The Sri Lankan government is closing in on the Tamil Tigers. They aren't going to stop when they're so close to crushing them after almost 3 decades of fighting. Some Canadian MP isn't going to change that so they've accomplished nothing other than stirring up annoyance.
