Water is a Harper Hidden Agenda

The Fraser Institute published articles on how much profit opportunity was being lost by not exporting bulk water.

The Conservative Party of Canada went before the Privy Council with the position bulk export of water was okay under NAFTA. The resounding reply under the Liberal dominated Privy was NO!

The Conservatives said they would accept that and take it up with the courts. Nothing new since.
Both Democrats and Republicans say they will re open NAFTA.

What does this mean to you as an individual?
If the Conservatives deal NAFTA again, bulk water exports will be allowed. This makes water a commodity under NAFTA. As such, people in Canada must be charged the same for the water as those in the US. Your water bills just jumped 1000% in some areas. No more free water!

Alberta has petty well privatized all the water. When a NAFTA rule comes in they will soak Albertans beyond your imagination.

is it too late?

Gore capitalized on the steam of the green movement through His global warming spew..Whether you believe in global warming or not doesn't change the fact that we need a new direction..We need new alternatives!...We must find a better way!..We should have been steering the global economy into alternative energies and green friendly products 10 yrs ago..!Gore capitalized on all the green interest but I fear it did not ultimatley lead us in the right direction..Canada Can not afford to stall any longer...We must act now to change our greedy, energy abusing ways.Or we will be forever lost n the turbulent storm of a money hungry grey area..!

Don't give in to the misleading B.S. of a greedy, money hungry, energy sucking global economy..Grimey grey leaders are leading us the wrong way..time to Take the scenic route cause the roads r congested with road rage and potholes...Grey leaders r leading the masses along a road with no exit..Just hard to see due to all the smoke and smog they blow out their tail pipes..Taking the alternate route will get us their just as fast..We can enjoy the scenery of positive change along the way......Let's just do it!..The road map (Gps.lol)..Is right in front of us!....We will all breath easier and live longer because of it!...

We already export water. It's carried away in small bottles packed in semi-trailers instead of hauled away in tanks by big trucks.

It is not a subject to be glib about!

Bulk water exports as in rivers, pip lines from Canada to the US, tanker trucks and trains made of carloads. Icebergs.

Once bulk water is under NAFTA it becomes a commodity. As a commodity you in Canada cannot be charged less for the commodity than the person pays for it in the US or Mexico.

"Market pricing" will prevail. The price of you water will immediately go increase to the highest rates for water paid in the USA. This is why Bechtel, Atco and food producers are running to get water rights in Canada.

In Alberta these same water rights are already sold to private comanies. Farmers were told they do not own rain water in their dug outs.

You do not want water included in NAFTA!

If it can be sold! conservatives will sell it!

If it can be sold.conservatives will sell it!.....

Might as well sell all the fresh water now before it is all polluted with oil scum!....A more conservative way of thinking is ...Let's sell the oil and water mixed together..Save on shipping costs!........

When I was in Australia I saw gov documents saying that rainwater was a commodity and the un owned it......at the time, un people were going from farm to farm in South Australia asking how long this dam or that dam had been on the farm, how much water do you pump out of it, etc. Same thing if you pumped from a creek or river. If you collected rainwater from your roof in a tank, it was the same thing....basically, they(the un) wants us to put a meter on pumps and tanks so we can be charged for what we use..
Having said that, it seems to me that they(the un) are leaving themselves open to lawsuits for the damage that their commodity does , flooding, erosion etc........
