There are not 250,000 unfilled jobs in Canada, this is fiction, lies and fables. A bogus survey that is nonsense from the Canadian Federation of Independent Business. All opinion, no facts. Managment/corporate bumf. Drivel.

Can companies ever have the right number of employees making money for them? You always need more. Where are the job ads in newspapers to reflect this? The job ad section of the Vancouver Sun newspaper is very scanty. You ought to check it out.

Sounds like in the Sun paper on Sept 24, 05, Joe Volpe, former Liberal Immigration Minister said,

"About 6,000 long-haul trucks are sitting empty in New
Brunswick because there
aren't enough truckers he said. Volpe said he also heard that
5,000 skilled jobs
needed to be filled in Saskatoon. In Abbotsford, the need was
for 1.000 computer
engineers for graphic and video game design."

For these reasons Liberals wanted to boost immigration levels 40% in five years to 300,000. About 150,000 targeted immigrants seems more intelligent.

Volpe's comments are fiction. Saskatchewan has had one million people since the 1930s, now it has 5,000 skilled jobs in a city of less than 150,000. Too funny!!!!!

When it comes to foreigners, like the non-debate over Cdn troops in Afghanistan or immigration, Cdns are not allowed to discuss these topic intelligently. The gov't decides on bad imformation and will let us know later.

The comments of the Honourable Joseph Volpe, P.C., M.P., the Member for Eglinton—Lawrence and Treasury Board Critic for Her Majesty's Loyal Opposition, are, in my opinion, no longer of concern to Canada; he is no longer a Minister of the Crown, and his primary concern as a member of Her Majesty's Loyal Opposition is to scrutinize the activities of the Treasury Board.

I am more interested in whatever upcoming statements and endeavours are to be made by the Honourable Monte Solberg, P.C., M.P., the Member for Medicine Hat and Minister of Citizenship and Immigration.

Except FiveParadox, this is the sort of information that governs immigration policy, hearsay. There is a belief in Canada that parts of the country have thousands of jobs available and hundreds of thousands country wide-this is not true.
