Wow, i was really worried about the initial response to the conservative negative TV ads, but looks like it has done anything but hurt them. I dont see the Cons pulling away, and i still expect this election to be close until th bitter end. It will be interesting to see if in the final days if very many ndp supporters will switch to vote liberal to keep the cons out of power.

Better not. Like I said before and I will say again. NDP voters like I should vote for the NDP. The cons cannot do anything in a minority mandate that the NDP or Libs or Bloc don't like. So they can't do any far reaching right-wing legislation.

This is just the beginning, just wait till next weeks scandal breaks, 140+ seats for the CPC.

PM is done and so are the Liberals.

Once the Conservative get into majority territory, then NDP voters can vote for the Liberals. Or not even the Liberals you have a ton of parties to vote for in Canada. In Quebec, the Bloc, the Green and others in other places in Canada so the right can't get a majority.

Looks good. A Reform minority government is just what the Libs need to clean house. Watching the two arch-enemies trying to draft legislation together might be good for a hoot, too. I wish there was some way to pump up the NDP numbers a bit, but I can't see canadians ready to get off the LIb-Reform see-saw for a while yet.

Who said anything about minority, it’s a majority we are looking for, how else are we going to change this socialist country?

change it into what? a mini-america? no thanks there, texas1.

a harper majority.... that will see a lot of money leaving canada, and perhaps people leaving too (but who knows on that one). Harper is the bearer of economic disaster, the end of social programs, the end of equality of all. One thing harper would show the stupid voters is just how good they had it under martin and chretien (and i am not a fan of martin or chretien).

Change it into Canada instead of the UN.

I knew it would only take a little time before a NDPer would hit back.

Harper is the bearer of economic disaster, the end of social programs, the end of equality of all

you better have data to back that up.

Hey Texas1

It is pretty simple that he is at an end to social programs. If you make huge cuts into the money that you have, the programs you are proposing are going to gopple it up. So you will not be able to improve social conditions like poverty and health care. I have found his platform on these issues lacking. Along with Native issues.

He is against equality for all,

Same-sex marriage anyone.

The United Nations is one of the most progressive organizations in the world. So let me guess Texas, you want to turn Canada back into a death-penalty, discriminate shithole of a country which is always in the red because it is afraid of terrorists and 'enemies' of the state.

Go to Texas.

look at his platform and his history (and the history of the reform/alliance/crap which he was involved in).

and I am not an NDPer, thank you. Not mentioning this several times ever gets through to folks who work on the "left vs right" binary thought process.

There isn't any - other then assorted musings and wishful thinking of the type found at babble - you know, that place deserting itself for higher peaks. . . .

Yep so true, they will be jumping off rooftops in a couple weeks.

Look conservative lovers.

No Canadian wants to stomach a majority. A majority liberal, a majority Conservative a majority NDP. The Bloc an picking up seats won't allow it so get it out of your small pea heads.

The NDP will get more exposure if the party puts Svend Robinson out front and center now that he's thrown his hat into the 'ring'.
