Governments in Canada have over the years attempted to claasify themselves as businesses. Things such as Government Corporation etc. being applied to things like Municipalities.

What are people's thoughts on this novel concept as a way to look at government activity as being legitimate business activity?

Who is the client?
Who is the owner?
What are their business models?
Who benefits from their kind of business?
Does it make any sense to look at them in this new way?

It is getting a bit weird eh? -
Corporations are "individuals" ; Governments are "Corporations" ; and people are clients of both. "The poor continue to be a great source of wealth" as they say, and it seems that government is not serving the people anymore, just the corporations.

iam, you have make an astute observation, its my favorite topic!

Governments are being molded to suit corporate culture, molded by that same corporate culture. We - the people and the government we elect - are slowly being sucked into it's grasp in every way.

There are simply some really wealthy people who are running the show. The ones with more money get to pick the candidates you will be pretending you chose, its part of putting "their people in every position".

"The Global Elite" is a good description, and name for who we are talking about. Anyone can join, you just have to have money and a certain allegiance that includes being vulnerable so "the group" can allways have control of you.

They will either take your money, or your life, if you stray too far from their agenda. There is many ways to keep the ALL in line, including more more more wealth.

We would expect at least ONE wealthy person to follow basic human maorality and start giving money and support to some poor people, to empower some poor people... it neer happens due to controls the Elites have over other Elites.

Government regulates industry as one of its essential duties. This makes government a target of industry, of the Elites. They simply get government to stop regulating because it reduces profits, even if the public is not protected.

Thats exactly where we are now. Only occaisionally does any info on the harms of industrial activity come out on the corporate owned press and mass media.

I will return to answer your specific questions later if this doesn't help.

My view is that Governments are not in any way shape or form similar to private corporations in legitimate practice.

Any time Government activities are termed business, we have a problem.

Business Corporations work to advance their shareholders and investors and hire employees to work for them.

Government Corporation work to undermine their shareholders and investors for the benefit of their employees.

We are dealing with two very different animals.
