I'm not a Christian myself, and likewise have no interest in poligamy (I even oppose poligamy on the ethical front), though I have no particular political opinion about it.
In the New Testament, though, there is no explicit prohibition against poligamy. I seem to vaguely remember reading a verse from the New Testament years ago which seems to praise monogamy, but that's about as close as I've ever come across in the Bible to actually banning it.
That being said, if some Christians continue to try to politicize their religion, then isn't there a danger that poligamy could eventually become legalized in Canada as the political right attempts to impose Christian laws politically onto the body politic?
